Annual Compliance training for Healthcare and Dental Workers
Each year more and more practices are dealing with HIPAA issues that put them at risk of audits. As patients get more knowledgeable about their HIPAA rights, they are more likely to report to OCR areas of noncompliance in a practice. This session will concentrate on the HIPAA Privacy Rules affecting most practices. Attendees will learn about patient rights, authorizations, breach notifications and more HIPAA rules. We’ll update attendees on the latest stories of HIPAA noncompliance along with settlements and fines.
This session is designed to meet the requirements of OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogen (BBP) regulation and other typical medical practice OSHA rules. Very specific items must be taught in order for the session to meet the BBP requirements, including an opportunity for interactive questions with the trainer. The session covers the General Duty Clause, Hazard Communications, Workplace Violence, Emergency Action Plans and other common safety issues.
